Description:

FlusserVision is a 3D experience that imagines what some of these futures might look like. Users move from abstract to concrete, from surreal to real, from placelessness to the places in between. Post-war remains. A futuristic city. Perpetual Peace. These are the environments that the user’s avatar navigates as they wander upon traces of the past that spark curiosity. FlusserVision is produced by the University of Connecticut’s Greenhouse Studios, but has team members from a range of skill sets and backgrounds. Equitable collaboration was at the heart of the creation of this project with emphasis placed on interdisciplinary and interpersonal learning. The team coalesced around shared themes, visual languages, and the desire to bring to life Flusser’s futures during an uncertain time in our shared history. Team members include Jonathan Ampiaw, Anke Finger, Tom Lee, Wenchao Lou, Catherine Masud, Garrett McComas, Sara Sikes, Carly Wanner-Hyde, and Miles Waterbury.
